Nobody hands the phone around
Four players, one screen, one tap each. Tap a score and the number pad colors itself against the hole's par, so a 2 on a par 3 reads as a birdie before you have finished looking at it — the same convention as a circled number on a paper card.

Match play
Hole by hole, one against one. The match line updates the moment a hole is entered: two up thru two, and everyone can see it.
Stroke play
Gross and net side by side, with handicap strokes allocated by each hole's stroke index rather than spread evenly.
Best ball
Everyone plays their own ball, the team takes the best score. Partners can be scored from either phone.
Scramble
One score per team per hole, entered once. No four identical rows to keep in step.
Skins
Low score wins the hole outright, ties carry. The pot rolls forward on its own and the payout is waiting at the end.
Closest to the pin
Nominate the holes and the stake. Distances go in as they happen, ties split, and a round pays out once every group in it has finished.
The whole trip on one board
Groups go out in waves and finish an hour apart, which is exactly when a paper standings sheet stops being true. Every match, side game and points race lands on the same board as it happens, whether you are on the tee or on the patio.
Team points races
Win 1.5, halve 0.5, lose 0 — across every match and points-counting side game on the trip.
Money follows the golf
Side-game winnings post to the same ledger as the expenses, so the trip settles once.
Works where the signal doesn't
Scores entered out of coverage save on the phone and sync the moment a signal comes back. The back nine of most courses worth playing is a dead zone, and a scoring app that needs bars is a scoring app you stop trusting on the twelfth.
Scoring questions
Can one person score for the whole group?
Yes, and it's how most groups play. All four players are on one screen with one tap each, so the phone never leaves the person keeping the card. Anyone else in the group can still open the app and watch the scores land.
Are handicaps applied automatically?
Yes. Strokes are allocated by each hole's stroke index rather than spread evenly across the round, so net and gross both stay right in match play, stroke play and every side game.
Which side games can it score?
Skins with carryovers, closest to the pin on the holes you nominate, and team points races that run across every foursome on the trip. Payouts are calculated as the rounds finish and post to the same ledger as the trip's expenses.
Does scoring work without a signal?
Yes. Scores save on the phone when you're out of coverage and sync when a signal returns, so a dead zone on the back nine doesn't cost you the card.
Can groups that tee off at different times share one leaderboard?
Yes. Every match and side game reports to the same trip leaderboard as it happens, so a group finishing at noon and a group still on the seventh are on one board rather than two sheets of paper reconciled afterwards.
Can I fix a score I entered wrong?
Yes. Go back to the hole and change it. Match status, side games and the trip leaderboard all recalculate from the corrected card.
