Delete your account
In the app
Open Duffers Anonymous, go to Profile → Delete Account and confirm. It works the same on iPhone and Android, takes effect immediately, and can't be undone.
Without the app
Email support@duffersanonymous.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm by replying to that address, then delete the account and tell you when it's done.
Delete some of your data and keep your account
- Profile details: clear your photo, bio, handicap, GHIN number, location, phone number or payment handles under Profile → Edit.
- Photos and expenses you added can be deleted from the trip.
- Anything else, such as chat messages, a round or a trip you organized: email support@duffersanonymous.com from the address on your account and say what you'd like removed. We'll confirm by replying, then delete it and tell you when it's done.
What gets deleted
Your profile (name, email, photo, handicap, GHIN number, bio, location, phone number and payment handles) and your ability to sign in.
What stays, and why
- Scores from rounds you played with other people stay on their scorecards, and settled amounts stay in their money history. Those are other people's records of a shared event.
- Trips you organized aren't deleted. Hand them over to someone else first if your group still needs them.
- Content reports are kept so we can act on repeat abuse.
If you'd like something removed that account deletion doesn't cover, email us and we'll do what we reasonably can. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
